Job Summary
The Advanced Unskilled Worker performs a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks in support of plant, facility, and grounds operations. This role supports maintenance, repair, and general upkeep activities and requires the ability to safely perform physical work in industrial environments while following established procedures and directions.
Key Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, this position may perform duties including, but not limited to:

Performing manual labor in and around buildings, yards, and industrial facilities

Assisting with basic construction and maintenance tasks such as mixing concrete and building rough forms

Washing, painting, and maintaining walls, windows, and frames
-
Repairing roads, walkways, and facility grounds
-
Moving, transporting, and handling tools, equipment, and repair materials
-
Assisting with minor repairs to machinery and equipment
-
Performing semi-skilled painting and other related maintenance work
-
Supporting general facility and grounds upkeep as assigned

Employees may be required to perform other related duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED
-
Minimum of 6 months of experience performing unskilled or labor-related work in an industrial, power plant, or similar environment, or equivalent experience

Basic understanding of elementary mechanical principles
-
Valid driver’s license with the ability to qualify for and safely operate a motor vehicle
-
Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively with others

This position requires the ability to perform physical work with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 20 pounds

Frequent exposure to noise and industrial environments
