General Summary: The Scheduler is responsible for the coordination, scheduling and support of daily work and planning of resources specific to the assigned business unit.

 

Within 12 months of starting the position the successful candidate will be required to sign up for a storm role to help support company restoration efforts.

*Location is Traverse City- 4 Days in office at TC location- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and remote on Wednesday’s*

 

 

We encourage you to apply if you have: equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered and reviewed.

 

  • Associate’s degree in Business or related field with 2-4 years of experience with scheduling or related work; customer facing; exposure to data and reports. Prefer knowledge of Utility work.
  • [OR] High School diploma with 6 or more years of experience with scheduling or related work; customer facing; exposure to data and reports. Prefer knowledge of Utility work.

 

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Establish and execute a daily plan for the work; may include organizing and dispatching assignments, facilitating meetings, short-range forecasting, etc.
  • Communicate effectively in line with supported business unit processes/procedures; may include interacting with supervision, field operations, or other operational supporting groups.
  • Utilize various systems to monitor work, create/submit orders, and requests, observe data and make scheduling adjustments as necessary. Some roles may require a deeper dive into data review to make appropriate modifications.
  • Support emergent matters in line with the business units’ processes/procedures; may include escalations, volume monitoring, etc.
  • Perform business unit specific tasks as needed; may include various reporting and taking appropriate action, identifying training opportunities, creating standards, etc.
