Location: This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and may be assigned to any Consumers Energy Service Center located throughout Michigan's lower Peninsula.  The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify). 

 

General Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Partner drives the CE culture of excellence by working collaboratively with client groups and Human Resources Partners to achieve key initiatives through the delivery of diverse top talent. The incumbent will attract, source, assess and pre-select proactively the best external talent enabling the business to deliver their strategy. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and counsel to business leaders through the selection process ensuring a strong fit between both internal & external candidates and available CMS opportunities. Challenge and influence leaders throughout the process, as appropriate
  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process with exceptional customer service orientation, provide a positive experience for both candidate and hiring manager
  • Implement recruiting and hiring practices to provide qualified and diverse candidate pools to functional client groups
  • Engage with hiring managers to understand their needs and provide counsel and guidance on hiring practices
  • Source, assess and select qualified applicants to be referred as candidates for open searches, including networking and cultivating a talent pipeline
  • Conduct in-depth screenings of potential candidates and communicate clear expectations of the recruiting process, including interview and offer close
  • Evaluate skill level and complete offer process to include salary recommendations, offer letter generation and offer acceptance
  • Participate in/lead talent acquisition projects and share best practices while working in close collaboration with the talent acquisition teams in the context of the transformation road map
  • Conduct regular follow-up with hiring manager to determine the effectiveness of recruiting and coach through the hiring process
  • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition role
  • [OR] Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and 4+ years of experience in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition role
  • [OR] High school diploma and 6+ years of experience in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition role
