Summary

The Director of Corporate Sales and Marketing will report to the Executive Director of Origination and lead the Enterprise sales organization.  This individual will be responsible for leading, managing, and building relationships with Science Based Target initiatives (SBTi) commercial and industrial customers, with the autonomy to close and execute renewable power purchase agreements. The Director of Corporate Sales and Marketing will also lead in the creation of customized proposals for renewable energy offerings, develop bespoke price strategies & modeling for customers, lead the assessment and development of new market strategies for customers, and attend trade and regional conferences focused on SBTi customers.  This individual will have an established portfolio of nationwide corporate contacts spanning several Regional Transmission Organization (RTO's) and bring extensive experience with PPA structures, and negotiations for utility-scale renewable energy.

 

Duites & Reponsibilites

  • Responsible for negotiating and establishing customer products, with autonomy to execute power purchase agreements with new commercial and industrial customers
  • Create and deliver compelling and customized presentations to potential new and existing customers
  • Lead the creation of new sales material, customer bilateral proposals, and response to customer requests for proposals
  • Develop price modeling and pricing strategies, applying competitive market intel and customer feedback
  • Lead the assessment of market trends and identification of new customers, through knowledge of customers decarbonization requirements to develop customized offerings and proposals
  • Lead the development of new market strategies by tracking industry trends, policy and regulatory changes, identifying areas of growth and high-opportunity market segments, while understanding the dynamics of energy supply and demand
  • Attend industry conferences and trade shows for networking opportunities and customer meetings, represent the company within energy working groups, professional organizations and associations

 

Skills / Knowledge / Abilites

  • Established portfolio of contacts with nationwide SBTi commercial and industrial customers
  • Comprehensive structured pricing knowledge in the following regional markets: MISO, PJM, ERCOT, SPP; with an emphasis on renewable energy
  • Demonstrated experience with utility scale energy procurement structures and PPAs with a strong record of successfully closing both brown and green energy transactions
  • Experience leading commercial interaction with customers and a willingness to travel 50%+, or as the job requires
  • Commercial knowledge of the natural gas, power, and renewable energy credits markets; and generation technologies including wind, solar and battery storage

 

Requirements

  • 7+ years in commercial and industrial structured energy product sales, with a focus on renewable energy PPAs or other related fields.
  • Experienced based portfolio, with established client base.
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business Administration.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
  • Experience in Renewable Energy Sales
