Location: This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday assigned to the Grand Rapids or Lansing service center located in Grand Rapids, MI. or Lansing, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).
General Summary of Job Responsibilities
The Senior Supplier Quality Analyst is one of the leading Supplier Quality and Performance subject matter experts. As such, they are responsible to support our internal stakeholders and supply base in the identification, development, documentation and implementation of best practices aligned to achieve zero defects to Operations. The specific day to day focus is on the execution of the First Part Approval Process, non-conformance identification and resolution, CAPA delivery and the resulting supplier performance scorecard. Those in this role will give input into the metrics and leading indicators to measure performance of the group. They will also support supplier qualification and development related to bid events, corrective actions, waste elimination and continuous improvement.
The Senior Supplier Quality Analyst will collaborate on designing and implementing departmental initiatives and solutions that support the entire CE organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Recommend appropriate metrics and dashboards to communicate the health of the Supplier Quality systems, supporting both internal and external operating review structures.
- Contribute to and execute plans and processes to drive Supplier Quality and Supply Chain deliverables. Achieve process excellence by staying current with industry trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Sourcing to ensure appropriate technical specifications and requirements are utilized and adhered to.
- Participate in cross-functional team problem solving, which may include statistical analysis, process variation, process mapping, and other problem-solving tools to address root causes.
- Lead Supplier Quality processes such as First Part Approval, non-conformance entry and resolution, CAPA, supplier performance scorecard, and supplier performance management.
- Participate in Supplier Qualification, Development, audits, and performance feedback during the bid evaluation process.
- Develop processes and procedures to support continuous improvement.
- Work with Operations, Engineering, and the supply base to analyze field failures and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Expertise in supplier quality tools, processes, and best practices.
- Experience in lean process development and the ability to apply systems thinking.
- Ability to build credibility and influence within CE and externally with the supply base.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and business unit partners.
- Ability to provide input to supplier contracts, including terms and conditions, critical-to-quality requirements, and KPIs.
- Complex problem-solving skills, experience leading cross-functional teams, and strong time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with complex data, statistical analysis, and the ability to turn big data into actionable insights.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and standards.
- Customer-oriented mindset.
- Ability to develop and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, quality, supply chain management or other technical field with a minimum of four (4) years of experience developing and executing Supplier Quality processes & tools, in-process control and process analysis utilizing lean techniques.

OR Associate’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, quality, supply chain management or other technical field with a minimum of six (6) years of experience developing and executing Supplier Quality processes & tools, in-process control and process analysis utilizing lean techniques.

OR High school diploma with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience developing and executing Supplier Quality processes & tools, in-process control and process analysis utilizing lean techniques.
