Location
This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday assigned to the Parnall Office located in Jackson, MI preferred but also open to Saginaw Service Center located in Saginaw, MI, Karn Plant located in Essexville, MI, Bay City Service Center located in Bay City, MI, Grand Rapids Service Center located in Grand Rapids, MI or JH Campbell Training Center located in West Olive, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).
General Summary of Job Responsibilities
The Senior Program Engineer is responsible for overseeing the engineering and technical aspects required to successfully complete projects. This role involves planning project activities, establishing project criteria, coordinating project reviews, and ensuring the proper implementation of all project elements. The incumbent will schedule, plan, forecast, allocate resources, and manage all technical tasks to ensure project accuracy and quality from inception to completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, ensuring a thorough understanding of their objectives and goals.
- Oversee compliance with relevant codes, practices, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects; delegate responsibilities and provide mentorship to project team members.
- Offer technical assistance and support to project managers and other team participants.
- Review engineering deliverables and tasks, initiating appropriate corrective actions as needed to ensure project quality and accuracy.
- Support Agile project delivery by helping balance team performance with strict deadlines.
- Develop specifications for required project equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD.
- Proficient in MS Office, with aptitude for learning new software.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program with four (4) or more years of experience in a program engineer capacity.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a non-ABET accredited program plus a Professional Engineering (PE) license with four (4) or more years of experience in a program engineer capacity.
