This position is for an experienced (5-10years) Microsoft Office 365 Administrator with emphasis in managing Exchange on-line, on-premise: Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2016.  Demonstrated experience with data loss prevention (DLP), Proofpoint, power shell, and email discovery is required.  This position is required to be in the office two days a week in Jackson.  

Job description

The O365 Systems Administrator will assist, maintain, and troubleshoot the O365 and on-premise Exchange infrastructure. A successful candidate will be familiar with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures as well as relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Initial responsibility will be for Exchange on-line and-on premise Exchange 2010 and 2016
  • Evaluate and perform Microsoft Cumulative Updates (CU) as required
  • Support multiple users in multi locations on a regular basis using Service Now ticketing system.
  • Administer Exchange environment changes using Service Now
  • Assess system performance and recommend improvements
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Respond to and resolve difficult inquiries and complaints
  • Provide emergency response to reduce downtime, correct errors, monitor vendor activity, diagnose system failures, and conduct off-hours scheduled and as-needed maintenance
  • Assist in developing, planning, implementing, and administering goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Be capable of managing accounts in an Active Directory Environment
  • Be able to setup accounts and maintain users in Office 365 and Exchange on-premise
  • Audit and maintain backups
  • Be extremely thorough when documenting changes, processes (Knowledge Base articles), or trouble tickets in Service Now
  • Assist employees with trouble tickets as they come in
  • Take ownership of problems and use all resources and talents to come to acceptable resolution on issues. This person needs to be very good at troubleshooting.
  • Work with IT team to develop standardized processes and checklists.
  • Provide non-business hour 7 X24 support as needed
  • Complete assigned projects and tasks on their scheduled deadlines
  • Provide training when needed

Technical or specialized knowledge/skills

  • Strong Active Directory and Office 365 administration experience
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Server and desktop environments
  • Good experience with Microsoft portfolio including Azure, SharePoint, Power Shell, and Teams.
  • Experience with email security

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

  • Minimum 5 years of Exchange Administration experience
  • General Windows Server 2008, 20012, 2016 administration
  • Basic LAN configuration
  • Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and independent worker
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, serving multiple clients each day
  • Exchange 2010-2019 administration experience
  • Office 365 administration experience

Required Qualifications:


· 5+ years of experience in Systems / Networking

· Bachelor's Degree in technology related field preferred
