Summary

The IT manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day services within the Connectivity Team. Accountable for the complete lifecycle and support of connectivity and network infrastructure. Manages employees, contractors, and vendors who provide operational support to business partners for first and second level incident management, asset refresh, knowledge management, ad hoc projects and order fulfillment including overseeing financial budgets for each area. Will also have responsibility for ensuring key human resource functions are conducted, including interviewing, selection / hiring, conducting performance assessments, and more.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to IT initiatives including one or more of the following - Designs and deploys new IT systems or adds functionality to existing systems; Operate and maintains IT systems; and/or Deliver IT services. Partners with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions.
  • Provides direction for IT coworkers. Measure progress on quality of delivery and/or operations. Uses data to drive decision making. Applies problem-solving and continuous improvement practices.
  • Assesses internal and vendor solutions and develops strategies for IT products and services. Understands key digital assets and how these technologies are influencing business decisions and transforming how the company works. Coaches others on the benefits and risks associated with technology.
  • Understand and manages IT budgets. Identifies and implements waste elimination and cost optimization ideas. Minimizes operational costs while maintaining quality service.
  • Responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's Corporate and OT network infrastructure.
  • Engages in a close partnership with leaders to address Network Management requirements and mitigate risks, ensuring full compliance with multiple State and Federal Regulatory bodies (NERC/FERC).
  • Responsible for the development and management of Network Management training materials, policies and procedures.
  • Executive level correspondence on network events, resolution and forward-looking corrective plans.

Work and Education Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree Required in Cyber Security, Computer Science or Information Technology. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, candidate must have 4 years of experience directly related to the position.
  • 4 years of experience, including in a production or academic setting, with cyber security and/or computer networks
