Software Developer Intern
Location
This position is onsite minimally 3 days a week at our Corporate headquarters located in Jackson, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).
The interview process for this position will consist of a panel interview as well as a technical assessment.

General Summary of Responsibilities
Join our Application & Analytics team and help our subject matter experts tackle real business challenges in the energy industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the full software development lifecycle—including prototyping, design, testing, debugging, documentation, and deployment—within an agile environment using Test-Driven Design (TDD) and paired programming approaches.
- Contribute technical expertise to IT projects, focusing on solution design, configuration, testing, and documentation.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to inform process improvement and strategic planning.
- Develop executive-level PowerPoint presentations to communicate complex information effectively.
- Assist with planning, business analysis, budgeting, negotiations, customer service, and auditing across various business functions.
- Provide application development and business analysis support for project planning, reporting, contracts, scheduling, and field investigations.
- Ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, and within budget.
- Translate user requirements into agile-based application development solutions.
- Utilize software tools to analyze, interpret, and present data effectively.
- You may report to different leaders depending on project scope, department, or location.

Education/Experience
Currently enrolled and actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the business or engineering field majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field. The minimum GPA requirement for this internship position is 2.7.
Preferred Experience
- Proficiency in C# and .NET frameworks (Core, .NET 5)
- Proficiency in front-end languages/frameworks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Next.js)
- Experience with API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Azure API Management, Mulesoft)
- Experience with testing tools (e.g., Bruno, Postman, Blazemeter, Jmeter, Certify)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure AD, Data Factory, Logic Apps, Functions)
- Familiarity with Azure Generative AI services and methods (OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Speech Services, RAG model)
- Familiar with Azure DevOps, CLI, PowerShell, and CI/CD
- Familiar with API security (OAuth, JWT)
- Proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks
Hours and Travel
