Location: This position is onsite at Jackson Service Center located in Jackson, MI.  The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate.

 

  1. Duties:


Under general supervision, performs any of the duties of a Building Utility Worker-A and, in addition, regularly directs up to four other employees engaged in maintaining, operating and repairing buildings, equipment, yards, drives, walks, etc., and including such duties as:

 

  1. Maintaining, trouble-shooting, repairing and installing various building HVACR mechanical systems and/or building electrical systems (mechanical and/or electrical)
  2. Performing work on electrical/mechanical equipment where a permit and/or service license would be required, such as but not limited to:

 

a. Installation of various electrical circuits/components
b. Repair/replace/install HVACR equipment/components
c. Installation/modification of ductwork, hydronic system components

 

3.   Coordinating electrical/mechanical repair work

 

4. Performing other similar or related work

 

  1. Qualifications: (Mechanical)

 

  1. Have all of the qualifications of a Building Utility Worker-A and in addition must:


   a. Hold and retain a State of Michigan Mechanical License (Class 1, 2, 3, 6, 8)
   b. Hold and retain an EPA Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification
   c. Preferred - Michigan Boiler Installers License Class 1B or higher

 

  1. Have minimum of 7 years work in the commercial and industrial HVACR sector
  2. Have current experience working in the field
