What You’ll Do
You will serve as a trusted financial expert, responsible for delivering accurate, insightful, and timely accounting and analysis across the business. Key responsibilities include:

Own the financial story by managing general and sub ledger activity, ensuring accurate recording of complex transactions, allocations, and cost accounting activities.
Drive month end close excellence, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses to deliver reliable financial statements.
Navigate complexity with confidence by researching and applying GAAP and regulatory guidance to ensure proper accounting treatment of expenditures.
Support regulatory and external reporting, including SEC filings, audits, rate cases, and regulatory testimony—providing data, schedules, and analytical insights.
Analyze what matters most, identifying risks and opportunities through deep variance analysis, margin estimates, cash flow insights, and forecast development.
Partner across the business, collaborating with Shared Services, Treasury, Operations, Rates, Internal Controls, auditors, and regulatory teams.
Present with impact, clearly communicating financial results, variances, and implications to Accounting Leadership and senior management.
Strengthen the foundation, maintaining internal controls, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, maintaining master data, and contributing to revenue and cost accounting.

General Summary of Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic Project Management leader to oversee a multi-disciplinary project team of professionals dedicated to delivering capital infrastructure projects for Consumers Energy’s Generation Supply business unit. Projects will involve full life cycle of constructing a natural gas plant as well as coordinating ancillary projects for natural gas and electric distribution connections. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience managing complex gas infrastructure projects, solid understanding of project management methodologies and demonstrate a strong ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The Principal Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Project Manager is responsible for developing and executing the strategic project management approach for the construction of a natural gas plant. This role oversees the establishment and tracking of performance metrics and ensures the successful delivery of all aspects of this large scale, complex project. The position holds accountability for project management processes, controls, quality assurance, construction management, and adherence to close-out standards. A key aspect of this role is fostering executive stakeholder trust and collaboration both across the enterprise and with external partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provides coaching, mentoring, technical expertise, and guidance to cross-functional project teams, effectively motivating team members to take ownership of assigned tasks.
Develops and manages comprehensive project KPIs and execution metrics. Conducts data analytics and trend analysis, deploying problem-solving methodologies to ensure consistent performance and process compliance.

The Principal Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst is responsible for leading IT incident response efforts, coordinating issue resolution, and driving problem management initiatives. This role includes advanced technical troubleshooting, mentoring junior NOC analysts, and collaborating with engineering teams to optimize infrastructure performance. Additional responsibilities include developing technical documentation, advancing strategic initiatives, and serving as the primary escalation point for complex issues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading project teams in the planning, design, execution and commissioning of the company’s utility scale renewable energy facilities. The PM will oversee, coordinate, perform and track the planning, implementing, quality control, and status reporting on a given project. This position manages the project team, which typically consists of matrixed roles from all the areas of the organization as well as heavy reliance on outside consultants, engineering firms, and construction firms. The EPC Project Manager is responsible for working with stakeholders to define the project scope; preparing the project schedule, and updating that schedule as it evolves; proposing the project budget, and then managing the project cost and schedule; making sure the project team has the supplies and human resources necessary to get the project done on time and on budget; identifying and minimizing potential risks to the project timeline and budget; making sure that all project team members understand what their responsibilities are; communicating the project's progression to management; and ensuring the quality of the team's work and any supplies or materials used by the team.

The Project Manager will:

Plan and manage utility scale renewable energy projects (and other projects as necessary) of high complexity, multi-year projects valued at over $100 million.
Prepare Project Charter documents, Project Management Plans, Scoping Documents, Risk Registers, and other project management deliverables through the project lifecycle.
Organize, lead, and document Project team meetings to coordinate, update, and hold team members accountable for project responsibilities.
Manage projects to achieve overall financial and commercial success in meeting the company’s business goals.
Meet agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality objectives.
Develop project schedules including schedule concepts, constraints, items in appropriate level of detail, track schedule process, update items with project scheduler, and communicate schedule to project team. The Project Manager is will utilize Microsoft Project individually as well as working with a scheduler depending on stage of the project lifecycle.
Provide clear and accurate communications to project stakeholders.
Develop and maintain project plans that provide timely deliverables to achieve project objectives.
Identify initial risks, issues and constraints impacting project execution.
Work collaboratively with other functional areas in the development of project tasks and deliverables ensuring the successful execution of projects.
Manage multiple projects at various stages of development concurrently.
Perform as liaison to coordinate effective communications, discussions, and negotiations between NSCE and third parties (both private and governmental and host landowners).

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university is required.

Manager, Plant Maintenance - NorthStar Clean Energy (GRAYLING, MI, US)

The Grayling Generating Station plant is a 38 MW biomass-fueled renewable energy power plant that produces electricity. A core focus of the role is leading the Electric Supply organization’s near‑term strategy (approximately 2–5 years), ensuring alignment between execution planning, resource adequacy needs, regulatory commitments, and financial objectives in support of our reliability, affordability, and clean goals. The incumbent will spearhead new projects, drive process improvements, enhance customer experiences, and translate strategic goals into actionable, measurable operational plans. They will also oversee the execution of key operational activities.

This position supports business customer communications and engagement, working within a matrixed organization to facilitate cross-functional collaboration, process optimization, and issue resolution. The Senior Strategy Manager plays a central coordinating role across Electric Supply to ensure a holistic, integrated near‑term planning process that connects load forecasts, resource plans, capacity requirements, and execution strategies. The Senior Strategy Manager collaborates closely with peer organizations on complex rate cases, testimony, and tariff development, including drafting testimony. Sr Sys Protection Engineer (MULTIPLE LOCATIONS, MI, US)

General Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Senior System Protection Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and protection of moderately complex high voltage power systems. They will monitor the work of lower-level engineers and technicians on the development and implementation of protection schemes for our transmission and distribution systems. Additionally, they will be responsible for the coordination of the protection schemes with other utilities. The Senior Systems Protection Engineer will be responsible for the development of control philosophies and sequences for our larger, moderately complex generation, transmission, and distribution systems.

The Fault Analysis Engineer is responsible for ensuring the correct operation of the protective systems on Consumers Energy’s 138kV and 46kV distribution system. The Fault Analysis Engineer responds to emergent fault events and disturbances on the high voltage distribution and generation systems to support real-time operations with customer outage restoration. The Fault Analysis Engineer completes detailed studies of fault events to ensure correct operation and identify faulty operations of protection schemes. The Fault Analysis Engineer works with Engineering and Operations to develop corrective action plans. The Fault Analysis Engineer is responsible for developing monitoring recommendations and communication settings. The Fault Analysis Engineer supports the evaluation of new equipment such as communication equipment and line sensors. The Fault Analysis Engineer will support NERC compliance including PRC-002, PRC-004, & PRC-005.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform field tests of protection systems to verify their proper operation. Maintain accurate records of protection system designs and modifications.
