Job Summary

The Industrial Engineer role is designed to lead support and advance Operational Excellence throughout the organization. The Industrial Engineer will analyse current processes, material, data, standardized work, policies, and ergonomics to identify sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements. The Industrial Engineer will observe the work, engaging those closest to the work, to understand process capability, timing, and risks to identify waste reduction and eliminate human struggle, while improving process performance, cost, and customer outcomes.


The Industrial Engineer within Operations Performance is responsible for supporting process optimization and reducing waste to yield efficiencies that deliver tangible benefits. This role observes the work, conducts time studies, models processes that are affected by Operations, and performs root cause analysis on the worst-performing processes to identify opportunities for improvement. The Industrial Engineer will help expose improvements to process, technology, policies, standard work, duration/time, egonomics, skilling, etc to deliver improvements. The Industrial Engineer may develop and improve standards, procedures, and work instructions to deliber quality safely and within duration and cost expectations.
 

Responsibilies

  • Partner with SMEs to review current processes performance based on defined, and redefining gaps and exceptions with coaching to supported teams.
  • Review and develop standards, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Conduct time studies and variability analyses; define current key process and control measures (metrics).
  • Identify waste and error-proof processes; define future state processes, KPI, and stanardized work; utilize technology and automation to error-proof processes; and perform data capture/ analysis for key measures
  • Incorporate and be a coach for the 5 principles of Lean: 5 principles: Value identification. Value Stream mapping, Creating Flow .‘Optimize Flow’ to eliminate waste & increase value add activity to our Customer, Establishing Pull system: Evaluate & design systems, all types – people, process, digital, technical - to achieve maximum efficincy. Pursuit of Perfection

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or (8) years of equalivent experience as an Industrial Engineer or functional related task and duties.
  • 2-4 years of expereience in the functional related area or equalivent.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Lean Process understanding
  • Change Management Experience
