This position provides administrative support for the Consumers Energy Corporate Communications team and its Executive Director. The work involves supporting Executive Director with calendar reconciliation; scheduling and developing meeting invitations for the Corporate Communications Team; processing invoices and credit card charges; creating purchase orders and working on contracts; serving as the department's information asset manager; posting and distributing news releases externally; supporting team with lean management and budget activities; as well as planning and setting up quarterly retreats. The position requires positivity, great attention to detail, an ability to juggle multiple priorities and a capacity to learn and utilize a variety of technologies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • This position provides administrative support for the Consumers Energy Corporate Communications team and its Executive Director. The work involves supporting Executive Director with calendar reconciliation; scheduling and developing meeting invitations for the Corporate Communications Team; processing invoices and credit card charges; creating purchase orders and working on contracts; serving as the department's information asset manager; posting and distributing news releases externally; supporting team with lean management and budget activities; as well as planning and setting up quarterly retreats. The position requires positivity, great attention to detail, an ability to juggle multiple priorities and a capacity to learn and utilize a variety of technologies.
  • Process invoices, contracts; old records; and purchase orders.
  • Distribute to externally to media outlets and post news releases to PRNewswire and company website.
  • Co-own monthly budget and scorecard reviews with Corporate Communications leadership team.
  • Plan and execute events and large meetings quarterly.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 4+ year's of experience
