The Field Safety Consultant is part of the Corporate Safety & Health department with a focus on supporting Energy Operations. The Field Safety Consultant provides valuable support to the field operations to enable them to create customer value through safe and excellent operations.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducting safety incident investigations which would included facilitating and coaching energy operations with problem solving activities.

Conduct Jobsite Safety Assessments/Jobsite Inspections to support adherance to safety process and procedures.

Supporting Energy Operations and Corporate Safety & Health safety related projects and teams.

Support Safety Culture initiatives by providing support and safety guidance to the organization.

Other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary

This position requires the individual work 40 hours per week. Time will be spent in the office, headquarters, or specific field locations. This position will require the ability to travel between field locations. This position may include nights and weekend/holiday timeframes.

 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Knowledge of EEI Safety Classification & Learning model for High Energy model.

Knowledge and experience in Safety Incident Problem Solving.

Experience conducting field visits with field employees.

Experience conducting noise monitoring.

A self-starter mentality that can manage multiple work assignments

The ability to work in team settings and independently to meet team objectives.

Basic Computer Skills, Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Energy Industry (Utility) related experience

Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree - Occupational Safety Health discipline preferred

Equivalent work experience in lieu of education

2 - 4 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Safety Professional

Certified Utility Safety Professional

4 - 6 years of relevant work experience
